Preparation
- Beat the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream to maintain a light texture.
Assembly
- In a trifle dish, layer half of the crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom.
- Pour half of the Baileys Irish Cream over the cake, allowing it to seep in.
- Spread half of the cheesecake mixture over the cake and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, Baileys, cheesecake mixture, and syrup.
- Top with chocolate shavings or grated chocolate.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours before serving.
Notes
For best results, prepare a day in advance and allow it to chill overnight. Use softened cream cheese and be careful not to overmix the whipped cream.
