Preparation
  1. Beat the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped cream to maintain a light texture.
Assembly
  1. In a trifle dish, layer half of the crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom.
  2. Pour half of the Baileys Irish Cream over the cake, allowing it to seep in.
  3. Spread half of the cheesecake mixture over the cake and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, Baileys, cheesecake mixture, and syrup.
  5. Top with chocolate shavings or grated chocolate.
  6. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, prepare a day in advance and allow it to chill overnight. Use softened cream cheese and be careful not to overmix the whipped cream.
