Seasoning and Flavoring
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning A fragrant blend of spices that elevates the flavors.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Enhances richness and allows the steak to sear beautifully.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds a delightful punch to the dish.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Creates a luscious sauce that binds the pasta and proteins.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Richens the sauce with creaminess and depth.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds freshness and brightness to the finished dish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for amplifying the flavors.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Searing the Steak
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sliced steak with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
Sautéing Garlic and Shrimp
  1. Lower the heat and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute, then add the shrimp and remaining Cajun seasoning, cooking until the shrimp turns opaque (about 2-3 minutes). Set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. Pour the heavy cream into the same skillet. Stir gently as it begins to simmer. Gradually blend in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Combining the Dish
  1. Return the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and steak to the sauce. Toss everything together until well coated. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Divide the pasta among plates and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp and avoid overcooking to maintain tenderness. Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for spice preference.
