Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream For a creamy, dreamy texture
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adding a nutty, rich flavor
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Providing that aromatic kick
  • 2 tbsp butter To create a luscious sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning Bringing that delightful spiciness
Protein
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish, adding a pop of color

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by boiling water in a large pot. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package directions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Season both the shrimp and steak with the Cajun seasoning.
Cooking the Protein
  1. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are beautifully browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn a gorgeous pink. Remove the shrimp and keep them warm alongside the steak.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
  1. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and let it come to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce thickens, around 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining
  1. Toss the cooked fettuccine into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, ensuring every strand is coated.
  2. Return the shrimp and steak to the skillet, gently folding them into the pasta and sauce.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a burst of freshness and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak in Cajun seasoning ahead of time. Optional extras include bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach. If short on time, pre-cooked shrimp can be used.
