  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce Adds richness.

  • 1/4 cup crushed toffee For added crunch on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool completely.
Layering
  1. In a small saucepan, warm caramel sauce over low heat and stir in toffee bits until mixed.
  2. Pour the caramel toffee mixture over the cooled cake, spreading it evenly.
  3. Spread whipped cream over the caramel layer.
  4. Sprinkle crushed toffee on top.
  5. Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the whipped cream.
  6. Chill the cake for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

Avoid over-mixing the batter. Add a dash of sea salt to caramel sauce for a salted caramel twist. Substitute half of the whipped cream with cream cheese for added richness.
