Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the all-purpose flour, ground cardamom, vanilla extract, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Flatten each ball slightly and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until slightly golden around the edges.
  2. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Glazing
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, fresh orange juice, and orange zest until smooth.
  2. Once cookies are completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
