Preparation
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet to keep the wraps from becoming greasy.
- Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to coat the beef mixture evenly and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or a skillet for about 30 seconds.
- Spoon the cheesy beef mixture into the center of each tortilla and roll them up tightly, tucking in the sides.
Serving
- Serve the wraps with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of fresh chopped lettuce and tomatoes.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté some bell pepper with the onions, or add diced green chiles or jalapeños for heat. For a healthier option, use lean ground turkey or chicken. Grilling the wraps for a crispy exterior is also a great idea!
