Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 2-quart baking dish thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the drained corn, shredded cheddar cheese, granulated sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbling and golden brown.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in diced jalapeños or smoked paprika. For a twist, add cooked bacon or sautéed bell peppers. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
