Preparation
- Boil a pot of salted water and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, add ground beef over medium heat and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it sizzles.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Pour in beef broth and let simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat then stir in milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually mix in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture, then pour the melted cheese sauce over it. Stir to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve immediately, optionally garnished with additional cheese.
Notes
Consider adding hot sauce for a spicier kick. Swap cheeses or add veggies for variety. Leftover meats can substitute the ground beef.
