Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Whisk the mixture until the sugar is fully dissolved, creating a rich and creamy base.
  2. Stir in the cherry blossom syrup and vanilla extract. If desired, add a few drops of pink food coloring.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. In the last few minutes of churning, gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
