Flavor Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cherry blossom extract or sakura syrup Infuses the ice cream with floral essence.
  • 1/2 cup cherry syrup (optional for drizzling) Enhances cherry flavor and presentation.
  • Edible flowers for garnish (optional) Adds elegance to the presentation.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk, whisk until smooth and well-combined.
  2. Pour in the cherry blossom extract (or sakura syrup) and stir until evenly incorporated.
  3. If you desire a stronger cherry flavor, add the cherry syrup now or reserve it for drizzling.
Churning
  1. Transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency (about 20–25 minutes).
Freezing
  1. Pour the mixture into an airtight container, gently swirl in the cherry syrup if using, and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serving
  1. Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and garnish with edible flowers.

Notes

For a quicker churn, chill your ice cream maker bowl in the freezer. You can substitute cherry blossom extract with other floral syrups. If the mixture is too hard, let it sit out a few minutes before scooping.
