Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares or rectangles. Score a border about 1/2 inch from the edges.
- In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and sour cream until smooth.
Filling and Baking
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the center of each pastry square and add a dollop of cherry pie filling on top.
- Brush the edges with the egg wash made from whisking an egg with milk.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastries are golden brown and puffed up. Let cool slightly before serving.
