Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and scatter them across the top of the chicken mixture.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the biscuit pieces.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use pre-cooked chicken such as rotisserie chicken. Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme can enhance the flavor. For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
