Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, followed by the flour and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Assembly
- On a floured surface, roll out the crescent roll dough and pinch seams together.
- Spread the cookie dough mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough.
- Cut the dough into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
- Twist each strip gently and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Pairs well with vanilla ice cream and warm beverages. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
