Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix your melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
Baking
  1. Scoop out a tablespoon of the dough, flatten it slightly, and place a few chocolate chips in the center.
  2. Enclose the dough around the chocolate chips to form a ball.
  3. Place each cookie ball on the prepared baking sheet with generous spacing.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers remain soft.
  5. Allow to cool for a few minutes before sprinkling with sea salt.
  6. Serve warm for the ultimate gooey chocolate center.
