Preparation
  1. Begin by heating a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Mash the ripe avocado in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Generously spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer half of your chosen cheese, followed by the mashed avocado, and then the remaining cheese before topping with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
Cooking
  1. Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until it turns golden brown and crispy.
  2. Flip gently and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted.
