Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, uncooked rice, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, frozen vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
For an extra layer of flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary. You can substitute brown rice or use low-fat ingredients for a healthier option.
