Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to the package instructions, usually around 3-5 minutes, until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Set the shrimp aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream, stirring it into the buttery garlic. Allow it to come to a gentle simmer and whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Combining and Baking
- Add the cooked tortellini and shrimp back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Stir gently until everything is coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbling around the edges.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. Opt for high-quality Parmesan cheese. Make ahead of time and reheat gently.
