  • 1.5 pounds ground beef Lean and juicy
  • 1 cup French onion soup Aromatic and rich
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs For added texture

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds aromatic kick

  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese For melting on top

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into a loaf shape.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the shaped meatloaf to the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  3. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top and cover to melt.
Serving
  1. Remove the meatloaf from the crockpot, slice, and serve warm with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For added nutrition, you can mix in finely chopped bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms into the meatloaf mixture. Consider using a crockpot liner for easy cleanup.
