Ingredients

For the S'mores
  • 8 pieces graham crackers Crunchy and sweet, these serve as the perfect foundation.
  • 8 large marshmallows Oozing with sweetness and nostalgia, they bring that classic campfire essence.
  • 8 squares milk chocolate Rich and creamy, chocolate adds to the indulgent nature of this treat.
For the Batter
  • 1 cup pancake mix This forms the crispy outer layer, giving a fluffy texture.
  • 3/4 cup water Helps to create the perfect batter consistency for the coating.
For Frying
  • as needed vegetable oil Essential for achieving that golden-brown crispy exterior.
  • as needed powdered sugar A sweet finishing touch to elevate your dessert.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by laying out two squares of graham crackers. On one cracker, place a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow. Top with another graham cracker square, pressing down gently to create a sandwich.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pancake mix and water until the mixture is smooth and well-combined, with no lumps remaining. The batter should be thick enough to coat the s'mores.
  3. In a deep pan, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C), using a thermometer to ensure it’s at the right temperature.
Cooking
  1. Carefully dip each assembled s'more into the pancake batter, making sure it is fully coated.
  2. Gently place them into the hot oil, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  3. Once cooked, transfer the s'mores to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
Serving
  1. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm for the ultimate treat!

Notes

For perfect Deep Fried S’mores, don't overcrowd the pan. Consider adding cinnamon to the pancake batter or using flavored chocolate for a unique twist. Get creative by adding slices of banana or peanut butter.
