Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  5. Stir in the Coca-Cola and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Remove from heat and mix the Coca-Cola mixture into the dry ingredients.
  7. Stir in buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Fold in chocolate chips.
Baking
