Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté for 15-20 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Introduce the beef stew meat and brown it for 5-7 minutes on all sides.
  4. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Remove the bay leaf from the pot and stir in the cooked noodles.
  8. Sprinkle Swiss cheese over the top, cover, and let sit until melted.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding balsamic vinegar or garlic while caramelizing the onions. You can prepare this dish a day in advance; just cook the noodles before serving.
