Ingredients

For the filling
  • 12 large marshmallows Soft and gooey, they create the perfect filling.
  • 12 squares milk chocolate Creamy and rich, this is the heart of the s’mores.
Coating and batter ingredients
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs The sweet, crunchy texture brings the classic s’mores flavor.
  • 1 cup pancake mix Adds a comforting, fluffy texture to the batter.
  • 1 cup flour Enhances the batter for a crispy exterior.
  • 3/4 cup water Necessary for mixing the batter to smooth perfection.
  • Oil for frying Essential for getting that golden-brown crunch.
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional) A sweet finishing touch to these scrumptious bites.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Take a square of milk chocolate and place it on top of a marshmallow. Press the chocolate into the marshmallow gently to ensure it sticks.
  3. Roll the chocolate-covered marshmallow in graham cracker crumbs, making sure it is completely coated. Repeat for all marshmallows.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine pancake mix, flour, and water. Mix until you achieve a thick batter.
Cooking
  1. Dip each graham-coated marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully covered. Carefully place the battered marshmallows into the hot oil.
  2. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn a gorgeous golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove the bombs from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  4. Dust the Fried S’mores Bombs with powdered sugar (optional) and serve warm.

Notes

Chill the marshmallows for easier handling, and consider trying different types of chocolate for varied flavors. Always ensure the oil is at the correct temperature before frying, and fry in small batches.
