- Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
Cooking the Chicken
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and fully cooked (6-8 minutes).
- Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then remove chicken from skillet.
Making the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up brown bits from the pan; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese; stir until smooth and creamy.
Combining and Serving
- Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then serve over cooked pasta, garnished with parsley and extra Parmesan.
Notes
Consider marinating chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic for added flavor. Adding fresh lemon juice right before serving can brighten the dish. For a kick, add red pepper flakes when sautéing garlic.
