Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta Hearty pasta shape that holds the sauce
  • 1 lb garlic sausage, sliced Star ingredient infusing garlicky goodness
  • 2 cups heavy cream Provides a rich, velvety base
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds nutty flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the sausage
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Infuses aromatic depth
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for flavor enhancement
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds color and freshness

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced garlic sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  4. Add cooked rigatoni, tossing to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Plate immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick. Optional extras include sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms. Cook rigatoni in the same pot to capture pasta water for sauce consistency.
