Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. Prepare the white cake mix according to package instructions, adding water, oil, and eggs as needed. Divide the batter evenly between the two pans.
Baking & Cooling
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Assembly
  1. Spread a thin layer of raspberry preserves on top of one cake layer.
  2. Stack the second cake layer on top.
  3. Frost the entire cake with whipped cream cheese frosting and garnish with white chocolate shavings.
