Preparation
- Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix instructions.
- Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Follow the instructions on the cake mix box, blending together the ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
Baking
- Place the dish in the oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Filling & Topping
- Using the end of a wooden spoon, gently poke holes all over the warm cake.
- In a bowl, combine marshmallow fluff and chocolate fudge sauce, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the warm cake, ensuring it seeps into all the holes.
- In another bowl, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake, then sprinkle mini marshmallows and chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
Cooling & Serving
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For a healthier twist, consider using whole wheat chocolate cake mix or Greek yogurt whipped cream. Customize toppings to your preference.
