Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice your French bread in half lengthwise.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves of the bread.
Baking
- Heap the shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese generously over the buttered halves.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
- Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top after baking, slice into pieces, and serve warm.
Notes
For an extra crispy finish, you can broil the bread for the last 1-2 minutes of baking. You can also experiment with different types of cheese or add toppings like sun-dried tomatoes or jalapeños.
