Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the orange cake mix, eggs, milk, melted butter, and softened orange sherbet. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting
  1. In a chilled bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until stiff peaks form.
Assembly
  1. Once cooled, place one cake layer on a serving platter, spread whipped cream frosting generously on top, and then place the second layer over it.
  2. Frost the entire cake with the remaining frosting.
Decoration
  1. Roll out orange fondant and cut out petal shapes for daisies. Use yellow fondant for the centers, and arrange them on top of the cake along with piping green icing for leaves.
