Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 10 pcs Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Egg Rolls
  • 12 pcs egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup crushed Oreos (for garnish)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Use a handheld mixer or whisk to beat the mixture until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold the crushed Oreos into the cream cheese mixture until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Take one egg roll wrapper and place about 2 tablespoons of the Oreo cheesecake filling in the center. Avoid overfilling.
  4. To seal the egg roll, fold in the sides of the wrapper, then roll tightly from the bottom up, using water to help seal edges.
Cooking
  1. In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the egg rolls in batches.
  2. Fry the egg rolls for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crisp. Transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
Finishing Touches
  1. Dust the fried egg rolls with powdered sugar, sprinkle with crushed Oreos, and drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating coffee or espresso powder into the cream cheese mixture. You can also add peanut butter or Nutella for a different experience. Ensure oil is at the correct temperature to avoid greasy egg rolls. Keep warm in the oven if making a large batch.
