Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Carefully pour the pecan filling into the pre-baked pie crust.
Baking
- Place the filled pie back into the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Watch the edges and cover them with aluminum foil if they brown too quickly.
Cooling and Topping
- Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread or pipe the whipped cream on top of the cooled pie just before serving.
