Ingredients
  

Breadstick Dough
  • 1 lb pizza dough Store-bought or homemade
Filling
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced beef or steak tips (cooked) Quality beef that is juicy after cooking
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella) Provolone has a slight tang and mozzarella is classic for its stretch
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds umami and nuttiness
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For brushing and enriching flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavors
  • 1 tsp dried oregano Adds a herbal note
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder For additional garlicky flavor
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional) For a bit of heat
  • Salt, to taste Essential to enhance flavors
Dipping Sauce
  • Marinara or cheese sauce For dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat in a skillet.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Toss in cooked beef, oregano, garlic powder, chili powder (if using), and salt.
  5. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  6. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle.
  7. Spread the beef mixture along the center of the dough, then top with cheeses.
  8. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching edges to seal.
  9. Slice into 6-8 sections.
  10. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with remaining olive oil.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  2. Let cool slightly and serve with marinara or cheese sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, avoid overstuffing the dough. Allow breadsticks to cool slightly before serving to prevent burns from melted cheese.
