Preparation
- Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread about a tablespoon of pizza sauce.
- Add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano over the cheese.
- Add slices of pepperoni or any topping you prefer.
- Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing outward.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in it.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Slice in half and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
- Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
Notes
To elevate your Pizza Grilled Cheese, add fresh basil or spinach for flavor and nutrition. For a kick, try adding crushed red pepper flakes. Experiment with different types of cheese and sauces.
