  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For assembly
  • 1 cup diced strawberries For layering
  • Whole strawberries for garnish For decorative topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Prepare your cake pans by greasing and lining them.
  2. Prepare the cake batter according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Fold in the mashed strawberries and pour the batter into the prepared pans.
  3. Bake as directed, then let the cakes cool completely.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract until velvety.
  5. Pour the cheesecake batter into a greased pan and bake for approximately 35-40 minutes until the center is set. Cool completely.
Whipping Cream
  1. In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
Assembly
  1. Layer a slice of cake on a serving plate, spread cheesecake over it, sprinkle diced strawberries, and add whipped cream. Repeat layers.
  2. Finish with a layer of frosting on top and garnish with whole strawberries. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. For texture, consider adding crushed graham crackers between layers. Allow each layer to chill completely before stacking.
