Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blind-bake the tart crust for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. While the crust is cooling, beat the egg whites until foamy. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla extract during this process.
Baking
  1. Spoon or pipe the meringue onto the cooled tart crust.
  2. Bake the meringue for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Let the meringue cool completely.
Assembly
  1. Top with fresh sliced strawberries and dust with powdered sugar.
  2. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
