Preparation
- Combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Stir well to coat the strawberries evenly and let them sit for about 10-15 minutes.
- Mash or blend the softened strawberries until they reach your desired consistency, leaving some chunks for texture or blending until smooth for a creamier dessert.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Incorporate the strawberry puree into the cream mixture, stirring gently until fully combined.
Churning
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, approximately 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serving
- Scoop out the delicious Strawberry Sensation Ice Cream and serve. Enjoy!
Notes
When picking strawberries, select bright red, firm, and fragrant ones for the best flavor. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, use a shallow dish to freeze the mixture, stirring every 30 minutes until frozen. Adjust sugar levels based on your sweetness preference.
