Ingredients

For the ice cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries Juicy, bright, and aromatic, these fresh strawberries will form the heart of your ice cream.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar This will amplify the sweetness of the strawberries and balance the flavors beautifully.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice A splash of citrus adds depth and enhances the strawberry flavor.
  • 2 cups heavy cream Rich and creamy, this is what gives your ice cream that luxurious texture.
  • 1 cup whole milk Creamy and smooth, this helps to thin the heavy cream and create a perfect base.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Additional sweetness to ensure your ice cream packs a delicious punch.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract The warm, aromatic notes of vanilla will add a comforting touch to the mix.
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree Made from the fresh strawberries, this puree adds an extra burst of flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Stir well to coat the strawberries evenly and let them sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Mash or blend the softened strawberries until they reach your desired consistency, leaving some chunks for texture or blending until smooth for a creamier dessert.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Incorporate the strawberry puree into the cream mixture, stirring gently until fully combined.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, approximately 20-25 minutes.
  2. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serving
  1. Scoop out the delicious Strawberry Sensation Ice Cream and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

When picking strawberries, select bright red, firm, and fragrant ones for the best flavor. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, use a shallow dish to freeze the mixture, stirring every 30 minutes until frozen. Adjust sugar levels based on your sweetness preference.
