Ingredients

Pizza Base
  • 1 lb pizza dough Store-bought or homemade dough.
  • 1 cup pizza sauce A rich blend of tomatoes and spices.
Cheese and Toppings
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese For a creamy and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
  • 1 cup assorted toppings Examples: bell peppers, olives, pepperoni.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For added flavor.
  • fresh basil leaves For garnish.
  • olive oil For brushing the crust.
  • Italian seasoning (optional) Enhances flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it inside to heat up.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a large circle about 12-14 inches in diameter.
  3. Using a smaller round object, gently mark a circle in the center of the dough to shape it into a wreath.
  4. Spread pizza sauce over the outer ring, leaving the center empty.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  6. Arrange your chosen toppings creatively on top of the cheese.
Baking
  1. Carefully transfer the wreath pizza to the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Finishing Touches
  1. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  2. Brush the outer crust with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan and Italian seasoning, if desired.
  3. Garnish with fresh basil leaves around the center.
  4. Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

Wreath Pizza is ideal for holiday gatherings. Avoid overloading with toppings to maintain a good crust texture. Preheat the oven properly for best results.
